Three seconds

On fire: While the rest of the Hokies struggled in the first half, junior guard Lindsay Biggs picked up the slack, scoring 12 straight points that helped the Hokies narrow a 30-15 gap to 36-27 at half. But the Badgers cooled Biggs in the second half. She didn't score until 5 minutes were left. She led all scorers with a career high 22 points.

Making time matter: Sophomore center Lin Zastrow was not in the starting lineup for the first time this season but made her presence felt most during the Badgers key run in the second half. Zatrow scored all of her five points, blocked a shot and played solid defense in UW's 13-2 run that gave UW a 53-37 lead with 6 minutes left.

The last word: "I like that our defense is coming through as our identity.'' Coach Lisa Stone on UW's defensive effort.
