The State Journal editorial board met with the governor on his state of the state proposals Friday morning. On the way out, he said he's going to back Sen. Barack Obama and will campaign for him.
"It's time that we listen to young people," he said.
Gov. Doyle was inspired by JFK to start his life in politics. He said he believes that Obama is the candidate who could best inspire the younger generation. He is their JFK, the guv said.
Obama could help us "turn the page" and stop re-arguing all the disagreements we've had for the past two decades, Doyle said.
He also made nice noises about Sen. Hillary Clinton.
